Huntingdon bench sees playing time in conference win

MACON, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team beat Wesleyan College 142-23 in a conference matchup on Wednesday night.

In a game in which all 16 players saw the court, Huntingdon's bench accounted for 91 points with freshmen and sophomores seeing the majority of the playing time.

Huntingdon's starters saw limited time in the game, with all five starters on the court for 10 minutes or less and the second group of five playing for 11 minutes or less.  

Among the starters, Alex Lowery scored 23 points in 10 minutes, T.I. Duncan recorded 11 points and five assists in nine minutes, Shaonica Thomas scored 10 points in 10 minutes and Indya Lawrence had nine assists and five steals in nine minutes.

Coming off the bench, freshman Ry Whetstone had 22 points and seven rebounds in 12 minutes and sophomore Lauren Johnson recorded her first collegiate double-double with 17 points, 14 rebounds and five assists in 16 minutes. Freshman Wyatt Bak added 13 points in 19 minutes and junior Maia Hill had 11 points in 11 minutes.

Making just their second appearance in a varsity game, freshman Riley Wilbanks had seven rebounds and freshman Jeide Amos had five assists.
