Huntingdon downs Agnes Scott for ninth straight win

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team took control early and beat Agnes Scott 65-43 on Wednesday night.

The Lady Hawks scored the first 15 points of the game, built a 26-point lead in the first half, led by at least 15 points for the entire second half and were able to play 14 players in the final regular-season home game.

The win was the 19^th of the season for Huntingdon (19-4, 12-3 USA South) and extended the Lady Hawks' NCAA-era program-record nine-game winning streak. Huntingdon needs one more win to tie the program's NCAA-era record for wins in a season.

T.I. Duncan and Shaonica Thomas were the only two Huntingdon players to score in double figures. Duncan had 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Thomas, who scored nine of Huntingdon's first 13 points in the game, also finished with 13 points and seven rebounds. Thomas continues to lead the USA South Athletic Conference in field-goal percentage (58.6) this season and Duncan is third at 55.9 percent.

Payton Kiser and Kassidy Crawford each added eight points in less than 20 minutes. Indya Lawrence had a game-high five assists in 17 minutes. Lawrence ranks fourth in the USA South with 77 assists this season.

Hannah Parks had a team-high two blocks to go with three assists and Abiba Bernard also had three assists. Alex Lowery finished with three steals.
