MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team picked up its third conference win of the season with a 73-41 victory over Wesleyan on Thursday night.
A total of 14 Hawks saw playing time as the bench players accounted for 33 points and 29 rebounds.
Huntingdon opened the first quarter with a 6-0 run and closed the quarter with a 9-0 run to take a 17-6 lead. The Hawks led by double digits for the final 25 minutes of the game, building an 18-point lead late in the first half and a 34-point lead in the second half.
A.B. Davis led all scorers with 15 points and Destiny Cross had 12 points and six rebounds. Alina Shoemake had 10 points, six rebounds and a team-high four assists and four steals. Janaiya Mintze pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.
