Huntingdon’s Hur four strokes off the lead entering second day of BSC Invitational
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Huntingdon sophomore Saem Hur battled through tough conditions and a competitive field to finish four strokes out of first in the opening round of Birmingham-Southern College's Ann Rhoads Invitational.
The 16-team field battled rain and winds of more than 20 mph at the Valley Course at Oxmoor Valley on Sunday.
Montevallo's Ashlee Beck leads the field with a 9-over-par 81. Hur is four strokes back and tied for 11th with an 85. Huntingdon junior Ali Hamil is 12 strokes back at 93. Senior Kaitlin Rozof shot 102, junior Alex Foster shot 106 and sophomore Joanne Jeon shot 149 for the Hawks.
As a team, the Lady Hawks shot 386 and are 15th entering the final round. The University of Indianapolis leads the team standings at 332. Tennessee Tech University is second at 337 and Methodist University is third at 343.
