Hur and Cahoon lead Huntingdon in MCC Women’s Intercollegiate

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Senior Saem Hur and freshman LeeAnn Cahoon both finished in the top seven in the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on Monday.

Hur tied for the low score in the final round with a 79 and finished the two-day tournament tied for fifth at 169. Cahoon tied for seventh with a score of 170. Piedmont's Katarina Hodge was the tournament medalist with a score of 159.

As a team, Huntingdon shot 358 on Sunday and 333 on Monday to finish with a 36-hole total of 691. Piedmont won the team title with a score of 671. Berry was second at 684, Oglethorpe was third at 687 and Millsaps rounded out the five-team field in fifth at 849.

Behind Hur and Cahoon, freshman Savannah Humber shot 175 for the tournament, sophomore Sydney Robbins shot 182 and freshman Courtney Harville shot 188. Playing as individuals, sophomore Jessie Culey shot a two-round 193 and sophomore Shay Roberson shot 205.

Huntingdon returns to action on Oct. 7 in the Birmingham-Southern Fall Intercollegiate.
