Lady Hawks in 8th after first round of BSC Southern Shootout

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot its best round of the fall with a 331 in the first round of the BSC Southern Shootout on Sunday.

Huntingdon is in eighth entering Monday's final round. Lee University leads the 12-team field at 299, University of the Cumberlands is second at 300 and Rhodes College is third at 302. Lee University's Courtney Shelton turned in Sunday's best round with a 2-under-par 69.

Freshman LeeAnn Cahoon led Huntingdon with a 79. Senior Saem Hur shot 82, sophomore Sydney Robbins turned in an 84, freshman Savannah Humber followed with an 86 and freshman Courtney Harville finished with a 97.

Playing as individuals, sophomore Jessie Culey shot 90 and sophomore Shay Roberson shot 93.
