Lady Hawks turn in program-best round in Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational

DESTIN, Fla. – The Huntingdon women's golf team is setting a new standard this fall.

For the second time in October, the Lady Hawks set a new program record. Huntingdon shot 321 on Tuesday in the final round of the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational, marking the best round in the history of the sixth-year program.

The Lady Hawks shot their previous best round of 323 on Oct. 7. Three of the top four rounds in program history have been played this October.

Tuesday's round at the Baytowne Golf Club helped Huntingdon finish 15th with a three-round total of 993. Methodist won the 17-team tournament with a 904, Washington University-St. Louis was second at 910 and Rhodes College was third at 934.

Washington University-St. Louis' Connie Zhou was the tournament medalist with a three-round score of 219.

Huntingdon senior Saem Hur shot 241 for the tournament, including a 76 in the final round. Freshman LeeAnn Cahoon shot 242 with a 77 on Tuesday. Freshman Savannah Humber shot a three-round total of 252, followed by sophomore Sydney Robbins at 258 and sophomore Jessie Culey at 287.
