Huntingdon women’s golf ties for 5th in DePauw Small College Classic

CLAYTON, Ind. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 344 in the final round of the DePauw Small College Classic on Sunday and finished tied for fifth with a two-round total of 669.

Washington University-St. Louis won the 16-team tournament with a 641. Carthage College was second at 645 and Wittenberg was third at 647.

Sophomores Savannah Humber and LeeAnn Cahoon each shot 85 in the final round for the Lady Hawks, freshmen Lindsey Huff and Kelsey Spivey both shot 87 and sophomore Courtney Harville shot 93.

Humber finished the tournament nine strokes out of first and tied for 17th with a 36-hole total of 165. Cahoon tied for 24th at 167, Huff tied for 29th at 169 and Spivey and Harville tied for 42nd at 174.

Washington University-St. Louis' Connie Zhou and Olivia Lugar, Wittenberg's Jane Hopkinson-Wood and Indiana Tech's Wiebke Schlender tied for first at 156.

Huntingdon returns to action on Oct. 12 in the Golfweek D3 Invitational.
