Lady Hawks fire second best round of spring in Washington University Invitational

MADISON, Ill. – The Huntingdon women's golf team turned in its second best round of the spring and the sixth best round in program history on Saturday in the first round of the Washington University Invitational.

Huntingdon shot 319 in the opening round at Gateway Golf Links and is tied for fourth with Wittenberg University in the 15-team field. William Woods University leads the field at 297, Washington University-St. Louis is second at 307 and Carthage College is third at 315.

Entering Sunday's final round, Huntingdon sophomore LeeAnn Cahoon is in second with a 1-over-par 73. Cahoon is two strokes out of first. William Woods' Katie Warren is in first with a 1-under 71.

Behind Cahoon, sophomore Savannah Humber shot 79 and is tied for 14th. Sophomore Courtney Harville shot 81, freshman Kelsey Spivey shot 86 and freshman Lindsey Huff shot 91.
