Huntingdon places 3rd in MCC Women’s Intercollegiate

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 312 in the final round of the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on Monday and finished third with a two-round score 640.

Sewanee won the nine-team tournament with a 36-hole total of 617 and Berry College was second at 619.

Two Huntingdon freshmen shot their best collegiate rounds yet on Monday. Olivia Hickson led Huntingdon in the final round with a 1-over-par 74 and Anna Beth Harris shot a 2-over 75.

Hickson, who finished six strokes off the lead, was sixth with a two-round 154. Harris tied for 24th with a two-round 166. Junior Vanessa Leiterman finished 17th with a two-round 162 and junior Katelyn Gilmore tied for 18th with a two-round 163.

Sewanee's Meghan Symonds was the tournament medalist with a 2-over 148.
