Lady Hawks in 2nd entering Rd. 3 of DIII Golfweek Fall Invitational

DESTIN, Fla. – The Huntingdon women's golf team maintained its second-place position during Round 2 of the Division III Golfweek Fall Invitational on Monday.

The Lady Hawks shot 314 in the second round and have a two-round total of 625. Entering Tuesday's final round at the Baytowne Golf Club, the Lady Hawks are in second and 14 strokes out of first.

Washington University-St. Louis leads the 16-team field with a two-round total of 611. Mary Hardin-Baylor and Berry College are each 13 strokes behind Huntingdon and tied for third at 638.

Three Lady Hawks are in the top seven entering the final round. Junior Katelyn Gilmore led Huntingdon on Monday with a 2-over 74. Gilmore is four strokes out of first and tied for third with a 7-over 151 after two rounds.

Freshman Olivia Hickson and junior Vanessa Leiterman are both eight strokes out of first and tied for seventh at 11-over 155.

Bridgewater College's Christina Herbert leads the tournament with a 3-over 147 after 36 holes.

Behind Gilmore, Hickson and Leiterman, sophomore Madi DeWees has a two-round 164 and freshman Anna Beth Harris has a two-round 178.
