Lady Hawks finish 8th in Washington and Lee Invitational
LEXINGTON, Va. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 322 in the final round of the Washington and Lee Invitational on Monday.
The 24th-ranked Lady Hawks finished eighth at the Lexington Golf and Country Club with a two-round 634.
Seventh-ranked New York University won the 11-team tournament with a two-round 599 and 16th-ranked Carnegie Mellon was second with a 604.
New York University's Arisa Kimura shot a 3-under 69 in the final round and earned medalist honors with an even-par 144.
Huntingdon senior Vanessa Leiterman finished six strokes out of first and tied for eighth with a 6-over 150. Leiterman led the Lady Hawks in both rounds with a 2-over 74 in the first round and a 4-over 76 in the final round.
Senior Katelyn Gilmore shot 6-over 78 in both rounds and tied for 18th with a 12-over 156. Sophomore Anna Beth Harris finished with a two-round 164, junior Madi DeWees shot a two-round 166 and freshman Debra Ann Burdeshaw shot a two-round 171.
Coming Up: Huntingdon will play in the Division III Golfweek Fall Invitational on Oct. 14-16.
