Women’s Golf places 3rd in Piedmont Spring Invitational

CLARKESVILLE, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 330 on Tuesday and finished with a two-round 662 in the Piedmont Spring Invitational.

The Lady Hawks placed third in the seven-team tournament. Methodist won the tournament with a 629 and Washington and Lee was second with a 654.

Senior Katelyn Gilmore led Huntingdon with a 78 in the final round and tied for eighth with a two-round 161. Methodist's Jillian Drinkard was the tournament medalist with a 152.

Senior Vanessa Leiterman shot 81 in the final round and tied for 10th with a 163. Freshman Debra Ann Burdeshaw finished six strokes behind Leiterman at 169. Sophomore Anna Beth Harris finished with a two-round 174 and junior Madi DeWees finished with a two-round 175.  

 

Coming Up: Huntingdon will play in the BSC Southern Showdown on April 15-16.
