Leiterman earns All-Region honors

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – Senior Vanessa Leiterman was named All-Region with the release of the Women's Golf Coaches Association awards this week.

Leiterman was named first-team All-Region in the East Region. She is the second Lady Hawk to earn WGCA All-Region honors. LeeAnn Cahoon was named first-team All-Region in 2015.

Leiterman's scoring average of 77.74 this season is the second best program history. Despite playing just two seasons with Huntingdon, Leiterman ranks fourth in program history with 64 career birdies.

As a junior, she became the second Lady Hawk to win a tournament. This season, she finished in the top-10 in four of the Lady Hawks' nine tournaments, including a tie for second in her final event of the season. 

During her two seasons, she turned in three of the top-nine three-round totals in program history, the second best 36-hole total in program history and three of the top-nine single round totals.
