Huntingdon closes out MCC Women’s Intercollegiate

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 322 in the final round of the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on Sunday.

The Lady Hawks finished ninth with a two-round total of 646. Centre College won the 12-team tournament with a 24-over-par 600. Eleventh-ranked Methodist was second with a 27-over 603.

Sophomore Debra Ann Burdeshaw led Huntingdon with a 4-over 76 in the final round and tied for eighth with a 6-over 150. The two-round total is Burdeshaw's best as a Lady Hawk and one of the top-10 two-round totals in program history.  

Centre College's Bailey Plourde won the tournament with a 5-under 139.

Huntingdon sophomore Abigail Cody finished with a two-round 163, senior Madi DeWees shot 166, freshman Emma Cox shot 167 and junior Anna Beth Harris shot 170.

Playing as an individual, freshman Jasmine Paynter finished with a two-round 186.
