Women’s golf opens play in Chick-fil-A Invitational

ROME, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 328 in the opening round of the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational on Monday at Coosa Country Club.

Entering Tuesday's final round, the Lady Hawks are 11th. Twelfth-ranked Oglethorpe leads the 16-team tournament at 16-over-par 304. Milligan and 20th-ranked Berry are tied for second at 305.

Freshman Emma Cox led Huntingdon with a 7-over 79 in the first round and is tied for 28th. Sophomore Debra Ann Burdeshaw shot an 8-over 80 and is tied for 34th.

Senior Madi DeWees shot 83, sophomore Abigail Cody shot 86 and freshman Jasmine Paynter shot 87.

Oglethorpe's Sarah Hsu, Spring Hill College's Claire Landry and Centre College's Rylee Suttor are tied for first at even-par 72.
