Huntingdon women’s lacrosse picks up third win in four games

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Shannen O'Leary scored seven goals and was one of seven players to score as the Huntingdon women's lacrosse team handled Reinhardt University 26-16 on Wednesday.

The first-year Lady Hawks (3-1) scored four goals in the first four minutes of the game, led 13-9 at the half and led by as many as 11 goals in the game.

O'Leary also had nine draw controls and six ground balls. Lonnitria Keenan finished with five goals, an assist and seven ground balls. Jen Price added four goals, an assist, five ground balls and five draw controls and Kalyn Spatol had four goals, two assists, eight ground balls and seven draw controls.

Candace Williams, Kate Heinrichs and Katie McLean each scored two goals. Heinrichs and McLean each had an assist. Bridget Lee recorded six ground balls.

Goalies Alexis McDonald and Rachael Phillips combined for seven saves.

Huntingdon travels to Oglethorpe on Monday for a 5:30 p.m. game.
