Huntingdon women’s lacrosse stumbles at Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team fell behind in the first half and couldn't recover in an 11-7 loss to Greensboro on Wednesday.

The first-year Lady Hawks (6-5) gave up three goals in the first five minutes of the game, but only trailed 3-2 with nine minutes left in the first half. Greensboro answered with four goals in the final nine minutes to take a 7-2 lead at halftime.

Huntingdon scored five goals in the second half but couldn't overtake the Pride (5-8).

Shannen O'Leary led Huntingdon with three goals, one assist and five draw controls. Jamie Reschke added two goals, Jen Price had one goal, three assists and five draw controls, Kalyn Spatol scored one goal and Katie McLean finished with one assist.

Goalie Alexis McDonald recorded 13 saves.

Huntingdon hosts Birmingham-Southern on Saturday at noon.
