Huntingdon women's lacrosse clinches first winning season

LEXINGTON, Ky. –The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team capped its inaugural season with an 18-16 win over Transylvania University on Friday. With the win, the Lady Hawks finished with an 8-6 record.

Huntingdon scored its first goal a little more than two minutes into the game and never trailed the Pioneers (3-5). Transylvania scored twice late in the game to pull within two goals.

Jamie Reschke led Huntingdon with six goals, an assist and five ground balls. Briana Gress added three goals, an assist and five ground balls and Candace Williams scored three goals. Kalyn Spatol finished with two goals, an assist, five draw controls and four ground balls.

Shannen O'Leary totaled two goals and five draw controls and Jen Price recorded two goals and four ground balls. Taylor Hinton finished with four ground balls.

Goalie Alexis McDonald finished with 16 saves.
