Krupa named to USA South All-Conference women’s lacrosse team
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon freshman Tori Krupa was recognized by the USA South on Wednesday with the release of the women's lacrosse All-Conference teams.
Krupa was named second-team All-Conference on defense. She is the first All-Conference selection for Huntingdon's second-year program.
"I am so proud of Tori and the way she stepped up as a freshman," Huntingdon head coach Morgan Cross said. "She was an All-American goalie in high school and that is the position we recruited her for. But when we realized we needed her in the field on defense this season, she was all for it. She adjusted and had a great season."
A native of Bradenton, Fla., Krupa started all 16 games on defense for the Lady Hawks. She set a program-record with 20 caused turnovers this season and was fourth on the team with 38 ground balls. She had a season-high seven ground balls in a win over North Carolina Wesleyan and a season-high three caused turnovers in two games.
Sophomore Kate Heinrichs was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
