Lady Hawks can’t find an answer for Greensboro

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team matched conference rival Greensboro College early, but the Lady Hawks fell behind late in the first half and lost 22-11 on Sunday.

Huntingdon (0-8, 0-3 USA South) built a three-goal advantage three times in the first 10 minutes of the game before Greensboro (3-1, 2-1 USA South) used an 11-1 run to take control.

Briana Gress led Huntingdon with three goals and Jamie Reschke, Lonnitria Keenan and Shannen O'Leary each had two goals. Candace Williams and Jen Price both had one goal.

O'Leary added two assists, three ground balls and seven draw controls. Price had four draw controls, two caused turnovers and a team-high eight ground balls.

Goalie Victoria Krupa recorded 13 saves and 22 goals allowed in 60 minutes of play.

The Lady Hawks host Sewanee on Thursday at 4 p.m.
