Price named to women's lacrosse All-Conference team

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon junior Jen Price was named All-Conference by the USA South with the release of the All-Conference women's lacrosse team on Wednesday.

Price was chosen second-team All-Conference as a midfielder. She is just the second All-Conference selection for the third-year Huntingdon women's lacrosse program. Victoria Krupa was named second-team All-Conference last season.

A native of San Ramon, Calif., Price led the Lady Hawks with 87 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers this season. She was third on the team with 25 goals and four assists.

Price scored a season-high four goals in three games this season, had a season-high nine ground balls against Otterbein and a season-high five caused turnovers against Hendrix. The nine ground balls tied the program's single-game record, set by Price in 2013 and tied by Briana Gress last season. The five caused turnovers tied the single-game record Price set last season.

In three seasons, Price is the Lady Hawks' career leader in goals (89), ground balls (195) and caused turnovers (55).

Freshman Bree Brake was named to the USA South All-Sportsmanship team.

Greensboro's Kristin Norris was named Player of the Year and Meredith's Carlee Joseph was named Rookie of the Year. Meredith's Lauren Scott was named Coach of the Year.
