MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team lost to USA South opponent Piedmont College 15-6 on Saturday in Samford Stadium.
Before the game, head coach Julia Steier honored the eight seniors who have been with the program for the first four years of existence.
Shannen O'Leary scored the Lady Hawks first goal 3:01 into the game to tie the score 1-1. Piedmont used a six goal run to pull ahead 7-1 before a Jade Paul goal with 15 seconds left in the first half made the score 7-2.
Jen Price scored her first of four goals 1:33 into the second half. The Lions outscored Huntingdon (5-8, 1-4 USA South) 7-3 in the final 26:54 of play.
The Lady Hawks travel to play rival Birmingham-Southern on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
