Huntingdon loses to Birmingham-Southern

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team lost to Birmingham-Southern 17-6 on Wednesday.

The Lady Hawks scored two goals in the first 13 minutes and only trailed 6-2. But Birmingham-Southern scored nine goals in the final 15:32 of the first half to pull away.

Kaylee Andrews and Shelby Martin each scored three goals for Huntingdon. Andrews also had one assist and three draw controls and Martin had two draw controls and two caused turnovers.

Sam Blount had one assist and three ground balls, Vanessa Maldonado had one assist and Hannah Parks had two caused turnovers. Savannah Ryan had three draw controls and three ground balls and Alex Teague had three ground balls.

Goalie Morgan Coppini had seven saves, 17 goals allowed and three ground balls in 60 minutes.
