Montgomery, Alabama – The Hawks (1-5 overall, 0-2 USA South) fell to Meredith (6-3 overall, 2-0 USA South) with a final score of 22-3.
In conference opponent, Meredith struck first with a 10-0 run in the first seven minutes of the first quarter. Mackenzie Wolford tagged the first goal of the game for the Hawks at the six minute mark (11-1). The Avenging Angels were able to push four more goals past starting goalie, Elizabeth Todd before heading to the second quarter (14-1).
In the second quarter the Hawks were unable to score and Meredith scored five more goals heading to halftime up 19-1. Mia Haulbrook entered the goal for the Hawks after the break and only allowed three more goals for the Avenging Angels while the Hawks Wolford and Celina Owens-Campbell flew in two more goals for Huntingdon. The late goals from the Hawks were not enough to spark a comeback for Huntingdon as they fell to in-conference opponent.
