Hawks Downed At Brevard
BREVARD, NC.- Huntingdon women's lacrosse(2-8 overall, 2-4 USA South) fell to the Brevard Tornadoes(8-5 overall, 5-1 USA South) in a road contest 17-5. Brevard capitalized on a hot first half featuring seven goals in the first quarter to propel their way to victory.

The Tornadoes got out of the gates fast, scoring six early goals to hold a 6-0 advantage with two minutes remaining in the first quarter

Kate Hudson stopped the bleeding with 46 seconds remaining with a goal to put Huntingdon behind 6-1

Second Quarter

Picking up where they left off in the opening period, the Tornadoes opened up the second quarter on a 3-0 run to push their lead to 10-1 by the 11 minute mark

Three unanswered goals from Brevard brought the halftime score to 13-2 with Huntingdon trailing

Reagan Barrett responded to a Brevard goal at the 13:01 mark with one of her own in the final three minutes of the quarter to put Huntingdon down 14-3 entering the last quarter of play
Fourth Quarter

The Tornadoes struck first in the final quarter with a goal at the 12:33 mark, but Kate Hudson responded with her third of the day at the 10:50 mark to bring the score to 15-4

Hudson stayed hot, matching another Tornado goal with her fourth of the game to make the score 16-5

Brevard scored again in the final minute of the contest to walk away with a 17-5 victory
