Hawks face nationally ranked competition in Life Duals

MARIETTA, Ga. – The Huntingdon wrestling team faced three nationally ranked NAIA teams in the Life University Duals on Sunday.

The Hawks fell to seventh-ranked Life University 50-0, 13th-ranked University of the Cumberlands 42-9 and 37th-ranked St. Catharine 49-3.

Sophomore Jesse Rowlen (285 pounds) won two of the Hawks' three matches on the day, going 2-1. Rowlen won by decision against the University of the Cumberlands' Devin Morrow 3-0 and St. Catharine's Dean McCoy 7-3. Rowlen's two victories on Sunday improved his record to 6-1 for the season.

Wyatt Miller (165) won by forfeit against the University of the Cumberlands.

Huntingdon travels to Nashville, Tenn., to take part in the Gator Boots Dual on Dec. 19.
