Huntingdon comes up short at Emmanuel
FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Huntingdon wrestling team battled Division II Emmanuel College to the final weight class on Tuesday before losing 24-23 in a tiebreaker.
Huntingdon's Joseph Pearson (285 pounds) won the 10th and final weight class to tie the score 23-23. Per NCAA rules, Emmanuel was awarded the tiebreaking point for winning six weight classes to the Hawks' four.
Pearson was one of three Hawks to win by pin in the match. Mason Blakeney (141) and Wyatt Miller (174) also earned pins. Ryan Brooks (125) won by technical fall.
