MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Stephanie Hubbard's goal off an Anna Trakas corner kick with 21:09 left in the first half provided the difference as the Huntingdon College women's soccer team fell to Salem College 1-0 on Saturday.
Salem (4-1, 1-0 Great South Athletic Conference) controlled the tempo for much of the game, attempting 15 shots on goal. Huntingdon keeper Jenny Burnash recorded 14 saves. Jaden Rountree had two shots on goal to lead the Hawks (2-2-1, 0-1).
Huntingdon resumes GSAC play on Tuesday at home. The Hawks host Spelman at 3 p.m.
