Huntingdon women’s soccer falls in second half against Piedmont

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team battled Piedmont evenly into the second half before Piedmont pulled out a 2-0 win on Saturday.

Kelsey Schaffernoth scored in the 64th minute and Dilyn MacLean added the final goal in the 78th minute for Piedmont (15-1, 6-1 Great South Athletic Conference).

Jaden Rountree took three shots for Huntingdon (6-7-1, 2-4 GSAC) and Katlyn Reynolds took two shots. Huntingdon keeper Jenny Burnash recorded eight saves.

The Hawks travel to Agnes Scott on Tuesday for a 3 p.m. game.
