Huntingdon women’s soccer stumbles at Millsaps

JACKSON, Miss. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team gave up one goal in the first half and two in the second half of a 3-0 loss to Millsaps on Monday.

Millsaps (4-4) took 25 shots, including 14 shots on goal. Huntingdon keeper Jenny Burnash allowed three goals but recorded 11 saves. Anna Raley and Mary Kathryn Allen each took a shot for Huntingdon (1-6).

"We played better, but we're still making costly mistakes," Huntingdon head coach Robert Milner said. "Millsaps has a good team and they played a more physical game than we did. I think that is something our girls will learn from and it will help us out as we move forward."

Huntingdon will play its first home game of the season on Saturday, hosting Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
