Huntingdon women’s soccer stumbles against Birmingham-Southern

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon freshman Josie Byard scored late in the first half but the Birmingham-Southern women's soccer team took a 4-1 victory on Monday.

Byard's goal in the 39th minute cut the Panthers' lead to 2-1. Birmingham-Southern (8-5-1) added two more goals in the second half.

Byard finished with two shots, Mary Kathryn Allen had one shot and Anna Raley had one shot for the Lady Hawks (2-12). Keeper Jenny Burnash recorded six saves in 90 minutes.

Huntingdon hosts Spelman on Friday at 3 p.m.
