RALEIGH, N.C. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to USA South opponent Meredith on Saturday.
Meredith's Brittany LaRussa found the net in the 39th minute on an assist from Jessie Davis, to score the game's only goal. The Avenging Angels took 28 shots led by Davis and Danielle Lee.
Huntingdon took just two shots (Clara Tapplin) and keeper Josie Byard picked up 10 saves in her 90 minutes of play.
The Lady Hawks (2-2, 0-1 USA South) return to action on Sunday at 11 a.m. at Mary Baldwin in a USA South Conference match up.
