MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team held Covenant scoreless for 90 minutes on Wednesday. But the Scots scored in the first minute of overtime to win 1-0.
Clara Tapplin took three shots for Huntingdon (3-9-1, 1-6-1 USA South). Bethany Logan scored the game-winning goal for Covenant (8-7-1, 6-2-1 USA South). The Scots are currently fourth in the USA South.
Huntingdon keeper Josie Byard, who leads the conference with 114 saves and an 85.7% save percentage, finished with seven saves in a little more than 90 minutes.
Huntingdon travels to Piedmont on Saturday for a noon game.
