FERRUM, Va. - The Huntingdon women's soccer team lost to Ferrum College 5-0 on Friday in a USA South Athletic Conference game.

Ferrum (4-4, 1-2 USA South) scored three goals in the first 35 minutes of play and out-shot the Lady Hawks 18-4.

Freshman Shelby Clark had two shots and one shot on goal for the Lady Hawks (2-6, 1-2 USA South). Clara Tapplin and Brittany MacCartney each took one shot.

Keeper Katie Bonner played the entire game, recording eight saves and five goals allowed.

"We're disappointed with the result but the substitutes who came on for us were very impressive," Huntingdon head coach Robert Milner said. "We will regroup for William Peace and play up to our higher standards."

Huntingdon returns to USA South action on Sunday at William Peace at 2 p.m.
