MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team gave up one goal in the first half and two in the second half of a 3-0 loss to Methodist University on Sunday.

The Lady Hawks' lone senior, Sara Pittman, was honored before the game as part of Senior Day. Pittman has missed most of her senior season with an injury, but with the cooperation of Methodist she was able to briefly take the field for one final collegiate start and leave the game after the first stoppage of play.

Huntingdon (2-16, 1-10 USA South) held Methodist (9-5-2, 8-1-2 USA South) scoreless until the 29th minute and remained within a goal of the Monarchs until midway through the second half.

Huntingdon keeper Katie Bonner made eight saves and allowed one goal in the first half. Keeper Brittany Houseman played the second half and made four saves and allowed two goals.

The Lady Hawks close out their season on Wednesday at LaGrange College at 6 p.m.
