Huntingdon comes up short in battle with Birmingham-Southern

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team frustrated Birmingham-Southern for almost 62 minutes on Wednesday night. But two goals in a span of 77 seconds were enough to lift the Panthers to a 2-0 victory.

Birmingham-Southern (3-1) took 17 shots for the game, including 12 shots on goal. Freshman keeper Leah Leach stopped the Panthers' first eight shots on goal before Birmingham-Southern managed its first goal 61:59 into the game. The Panthers followed with a second goal at the 63:16 mark.

In just her second collegiate start, Leach finished with 10 saves.

Kira Bohlke, Madi Critcher and Hanna Cloud each took one shot for Huntingdon (1-1).
