Lady Hawks fall at Maryville

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team lost to Maryville College 5-0 on Saturday.

The Scots (10-3-1, 7-1-1 USA South), who are third in the conference standings, scored twice in the first half and closed the scoring with three goals in the first 25 minutes of the second half. Maryville took 36 shots for the game, including 21 shots on goal.

Freshman Jenna Maschino took two of Huntingdon's three shots. Freshman Hanna Cloud took the other shot. Freshman keeper Leah Leach allowed five goals and recorded a career-high 16 saves.

Huntingdon (3-8-2, 1-6-2 USA South) returns to action in North Carolina for a pair of USA South games next weekend. The Lady Hawks play at North Carolina Wesleyan on Oct. 24 and at Methodist on Oct. 25.
