Guy named second-team West Division by the USA South
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Freshman Elena Guy was named second-team West Division by the USA South Athletic Conference.
The USA South released its All-Conference team and All-Division teams on Thursday. Guy was named second-team as a forward.
The Hudson, Fla., native has four goals and three assists this season to help the Lady Hawks to an 11-6-1 record. Guy scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Oglethorpe and the first goal in a 2-0 win at Agnes Scott. She also had an assist on the winning goal in a 1-0 overtime victory against Brevard.
Guy and the Lady Hawks will play at Maryville in the USA South Conference Tournament quarterfinals on Sunday. The game, which was originally set for Saturday, has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. (Central) on Sunday.
Huntingdon senior Madi Critcher was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
Piedmont's Cassidy Reich was named Player of the Year and Maryville's Bailey Sipos was named Rookie of the Year. Salem's Jay Callahan was named Coach of the Year.
