Lady Hawks open season with tie against Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn.  – Sophomore Kylie Kersh made a save in the final seconds of double overtime to help the Huntingdon women's soccer team earn a 1-1 tie with Sewanee on Friday night.

A pair of freshmen combined for Huntingdon's goal as Sam Curtis scored on an assist from Erika Gebhard in the first eight minutes of the second half.

The goal gave the Lady Hawks a 1-0 lead but Sewanee answered and tied the game in the 65th minute.

                                    

Records: Huntingdon (0-0-1); Sewanee (0-0-1)

Notable: Huntingdon and Sewanee combined for just seven shots on goal. The Lady Hawks took four shots on goal and Sewanee finished with three shots on goal.
