Huntingdon wins third straight conference game

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team scored one goal in the first half and two in the second half in a 3-0 win over Agnes Scott on Tuesday night.

It was the third straight conference win and the third straight shutout for the Lady Hawks. Huntingdon has posted seven shutouts in 13 games this season.

Senior Meredith Harrison played a part in two of Huntingdon's goals on Tuesday. Elena Guy scored on an assist from Harrison in the 25th minute to make it a 1-0 game. Harrison scored on an assist from Doren Staley in the 86th minute for the final goal of the game.

In between those goals, Mac Pearson scored on an assist from Sam Curtis.

Notable: Tuesday's win was Huntingdon's fourth shutout in five conference games this season. In those five games, Huntingdon has outscored its conference rivals 20-4. The Lady Hawks have held their five conference opponents to 12 shots on goal.
