Lady Hawks fall to Piedmont in overtime

DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team took Piedmont College to overtime but fell 1-0 on Friday night.

The Lady Hawks controlled the tempo for much of the game, outshooting the Lady Lions 16-8. Each team finished with four shots on goal.

Piedmont scored in the seventh minute of overtime to end the game.

With seven USA South Athletic Conference games still to be played this weekend and one on Monday, the official final standings will not be released until after the final game on Monday.

As of Friday night, Huntingdon is the fourth seed in the West Division.

Coming Up: The USA South Tournament will begin on Wednesday. In both the West and East Divisions, the No. 3 seed will host the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed will host the No. 5 seed. The top two seeds in each Division will have a bye in the opening round.

The official seeding will be announced after regular-season conference play concludes on Monday.
