Cembrale and Gebhard earn second-team West Division honors from USA South

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  – Freshman Erin Cembrale and sophomore Erika Gebhard were named second-team West Division with the release of the USA South Athletic Conference's All-Conference team and All-Division teams on Thursday.

Cembrale was named second-team as a midfielder and Gebhard was selected as a second-team defender.

Through 18 games this season, Cembrale leads Huntingdon with six goals. She scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 overtime win against Brevard. Gebhard has one goal this season and has helped anchor a defense that has posted three shutouts and held five other teams to one goal.

The Lady Hawks (6-10-2) will play at Greensboro at 11 a.m. (Central) on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the USA South Conference Tournament.

This is the third straight season Huntingdon has reached the conference quarterfinals.

Huntingdon freshman Faithe Korponay was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

Maryville's Shannon Reagan was named Player of the Year, William Peace's Raine Greene was named Rookie of the Year and Pfeiffer's Kaley Hyatt was named Goalkeeper of the Year. Maryville's Pepe Fernandez was named Coach of the Year.
