Hawks Fly Past Wesleyan for CCS Win

MACON, Ga. - Huntingdon Women's Soccer (5-7-1 overall, 3-3 CCS) defeated the Wolves of Wesleyan College (1-12 overall, 0-7 CCS) by a score of 4-1 on the road.

The Wolves popped on top first with a goal in the 21st minute after sneaking a penalty kick by Caroline Masker. Huntingdon quickly answered with their own goal in the 24th minute by Anaely Almeida, her fifth one of the season. 

Laney Bishop found herself shooting a penalty shot in the next six minutes to give the Hawks the lead at 2-1.

In the second half, Maddie Goggans whizzed one by the Wolves and Madison Tryon scored in the final 10 seconds after a Wesleyan foul.

Carolina Masker finished the game with 2 saves and Huntingdon got off 24 shots, a season high for the Hawks.
