Huntingdon women’s tennis takes down Southwestern

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team got back on track with a neutral-site win over Southwestern University on Friday. The Lady Hawks traveled to Birmingham-Southern and downed the Pirates 8-1.

Huntingdon (4-2) swept all three matches in doubles and won at five of the six singles positions. Katie Scott (No. 1), Hannah Still (No. 3), Hannah Creamer (No. 4) and Arielle Barraca (No. 6) won their singles matches in straight sets and Taylor Clark (No. 2) won in three sets.

In doubles, Still and Micaela White teamed to win at No. 1 doubles, Scott and Christian Vick won at No. 2 doubles and the team of Clark and Creamer picked up its fourth straight win at No. 3 doubles.

Weather permitting, the Lady Hawks return home on Saturday to play Piedmont at 3 p.m.
