Lady Hawks named ITA All-Academic team

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team was recently recognized as an ITA All-Academic team. The Lady Hawks have qualified for the recognition each season since 2004.

In addition to the team award, five Huntingdon players were named ITA Scholar Athletes. Katie Scott earned the honor for a third time, Arielle Barraca was recognized for a second time and freshmen Deidre Corbin, Farrah Mahan and Britni Thibodeau were named in their first season of collegiate competition.

Since 2004, 24 Lady Hawks have been recognized as ITA Scholar Athletes. To qualify as a Scholar Athlete, a player must have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher. The All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program with a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better.
