Huntingdon's Barraca named ITA Scholar Athlete

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon women's tennis player Arielle Barraca was recently named an ITA Scholar Athlete for a third straight year.

Since 2004, 24 Lady Hawks have been recognized as ITA Scholar Athletes. Barraca is the eighth Lady Hawk to earn the recognition at least three times.

To qualify as an ITA Scholar Athlete, a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a 3.50 GPA or higher and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

Barraca was one of eight USA South women's tennis players recognized.
