Lady Hawks pick up first conference win of the season

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team opened conference play on Saturday with an 8-1 win over William Peace.

The Lady Hawks (2-0) won all three doubles matches and five singles matches. Hannah Still (No. 1), Sarah Warren (No. 2), Sara Duran (No. 4), Tara-Beth Hall (No. 5), and Caroline McBroom (No. 6) each won in singles.

In doubles, Still and Warren won at No. 1, McBroom and Sandy Mayson won at No. 2 and Octavia Pendleton and Hall won at No. 3.

Huntingdon returns to conference action at Meredith College at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
