Women’s tennis remains unbeaten with win at Meredith

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team picked up its second conference win and remained unbeaten with a 5-4 win over Meredith College on Sunday.
Meredith (2-3, 1-1 USA South) was ranked second in the USA South preseason poll while Huntingdon (3-0, 2-0 USA South) was ranked fifth.
The two teams split 3-3 in singles play. Hannah Still (No. 1) won in straight sets for the Lady Hawks, Tara-Beth Hall (No. 4) won in three sets and Caroline McBroom (No. 6) won by default.
In doubles, the team of Still-McBroom won 8-3 at No. 2 and Hall-Sara Duran won by default at No. 3.
The Lady Hawks play LeTourneau University on Friday at 1 p.m. in Gulf Shores.
