Huntingdon closes regular season with win at Piedmont
DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 7-2 win over Piedmont on Sunday.
The Lady Hawks (12-5, 8-4 USA South) picked up two doubles wins to open the match and earned five singles wins to close the match. Three of the singles matches went to three sets with Huntingdon's Sandy Mayson winning at No. 2 and Heather Tabor winning at No. 4.
Josie Waddell (No. 3), Caroline McBroom (No. 5) and Octavia Pendleton (No. 6) won in straight sets.
The teams of Zoya Robinson-McBroom (No. 2) and Waddell-Pendleton (No. 3) won in doubles.
The Lady Hawks will return to action against Meredith on Friday in the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament.
